These 2 villas provide a unique offering to a challenging site which contains sharp inclines, cliff edges and a busy road to the rear. On the other hand, the site opens out directly to the beach and the dramatic views along the seafront.

The priority for these 3 bedroom villas was to create privacy from both the road and from each other.  Therefore their mass is integrated into the landscape while their frontage takes in the scenery at differing angles.

With an earthy feel of rich timbers and bamboo shingle cladding, aspects of the contemporary are intriguingly inserted via glass walkways and hexagonal paneling.  Spaces flow from inside to outside, with areas in between that blur these boundaries. These perhaps exemplified by internal gardens and external lounging areas.  Light and air are carried through the house in a balanced manner allowing good ventilation and gentle ambience.
