The mixed-use project includes 67-units of affordable housing and two community facility spaces in the Ocean Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. Located at the major intersection of Atlantic Ave and Eastern Parkway, the 9-story building is proposed based on the rezoning through ULURP. The ground level is occupied by the house of worship, and a community facility space. The residents enjoy a lobby area, common spaces, and a large indoor community room with access to the roof terrace.
One of the major projects developed under Ridgewood Bushwick’s Sustainability Campaign, the Passive House project will add to their portfolio of hyper-efficient affordable multifamily buildings in Brooklyn and is expected to use 75% less overall energy than conventional buildings and help reduce the City’s carbon footprint. High efficiency HVAC and lighting systems and a tight building envelope system help lower overall energy consumption and meet the rigorous passive house principals.
