The project brief was to reorganize the top floor of this West Village duplex to create a master suite and powder room where lackluster common areas overlooked the lower-floor open kitchen and dining area. We designed a welded blackened steel wall panel system, with antique mirrors at the exterior side and custom hand-painted silk wallpaper at the interior bedroom side. A tiny powder room stolen from under a stairway celebrates the building’s original red brick walls.
