Fall 2011/ Columbia University: GSAPP/ 3D Print Prototype Design and Build. "LINK" was developed as a way to test the strength and tolerances available in 3D printing. The "LINK" is composed of two separate "cages" connected with a double ball joint component. Each of the 400 qty individual LINKs can function or nest in various ways. The project also explored the ability to nest parts within one single build chamber for efficiency and mass production.
