Gradient donated its design and fabrication services to the Ronald MacDonald House in the Upper East Side to create a music experience space for children undergoing difficult, often life threatening medical procedures at the nearby children’s cancer center. The space is intended to allow children visiting the house to find inspiration and healing through the power of music. Gradient designed the fit-out of the space and coordinated with vendors interested in donating materials and labor in order to make this project happen.
The complexity of the project’s interior finishes were supplanted by the use of specific 3D shop drawings that illustrate the particular assembly and deployment of materials. Each component in the project has been accounted for and modularized, allowing for easier assembly and installation.
