Gradient’s Bubble Canopy was selected as the winning entry of an open RFP for the town of Geneva, New York in April 2017 and is scheduled to be installed this fall. The Bubble Canopy is a parametrically designed permanent shade structure installed along the waterfront of Lake Seneca. Acting as both a shade structure as well as an active water collector, it is designed to be able to withstand the lake fronts high winds and harsh winter conditions. Gradient is responsible for the design, fabrication, and all project and budget management. The total budget for the project is $275,000.
