School of naval architecture on the Bilbao riverside that brings together the Erandio-river bond and the industrial historic spirit of the site.

The building stands on an old quay which was constructed during 60 years. The project aims to update a place currently in deep state of deterioration. The programme is divided into three separate buildings, all of them sharing the same language through materials, structure and façade composition. Nonetheless, a necessary hierarchy has also been established by using different scales, heights, proportions and distance between the blocks.

The overall spirit of the proposal has been to create a clear and simple environment, where every element or spatial arrangement has been carefully designed to optimize the school's operation, thus nourishing from the heavily
functional historic atmosphere of the location.
