i went to a bjarke ingels lecture at the university of michigan last night, and he was using a really sweet slideshow presentation that moved seamlessly between still slides, subtle animation, and full-on video clips. does anyone know how big lays out slideshow presentations? or more generally, what program do you use and what tricks do you have for projected presentations?
I use indesign and export to pdf. For animations (subtle or otherwise) I insert a button in InDesign and then go into the pdf and embed the video I want it to control.

when using flash video mixed w/ stills, etc you may have to mess around w/ this property in actionscript
yourFlvInstance.fullScreenTakeOver = false;
to keep the video from reformatting (AS3--using video component) and covering up artwork/buttons/whatever
