I'm with a group of YSOA students working for a professor on Fire Island this summer. We thought it would be a good idea to take a day to drive around and look at some architecture while we're on Long Island. We're sitting around our kitchen table cooking up ideas but last night's mint juleps have left us feeling a little sluggish. Anyone have suggestions/locations for projects to look at? New or old.
* For those of you who don't know, Fire Island is a thin barrier island protecting the south coast of Long Island. It's about 300 yards wide and 40 miles long and sprinkled with 17 different (mostly summer vacation) communities. If you want to see some photos look here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/69844849@N00/sets/
About Cogan Residence, i'm actually studying that house as a french architecture student and i can't find informations about its actual state. Does the house still exist ? Or was it destroyed or moved ?
