what is it called?? Spikey wheel that traces a dotted path along topo graphic maps for topographic models...

I don't think I've ever used it for a topo model - but then again that's the fun about making models, and that is making your own tools (or retrofitting in this case)

i loved that tool...

i'm surprised that people still make topo models this way though... i figured all the kids were using laser cutters for topo stuff these days...

ahhhh the lost are of hand made models... it always pisses me off to see a piece of chipboard with a few simple rectangles cut out of it with the unmissable burnt edges of a laser cutter... i mean, just use an xacto knife and do it in half the time...
