Having considered a lot of different types of careers, I've perused a lot of message boards. None compare to what I've seen here. The level of support and sincerity to absolute strangers is a little unreal.
If I were jobless, I would try to use this great community to get in touch with other jobless people to enter competitions. The plethora of talent and thoughtfulness is at least on par with any Ivy league. It's a shame to see so many threads of bright, promising people worried about their futures and questioning their career choices. It's glorious that we live in an age where you can connect with other brilliant, motivated minds for free.
and THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to write long, insightful responses to others' questions. You wrote to far more people than those who had the guts to ask.
