Last September I started in an office that uses Chief. I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty similar to Archicad although the interface is not as nice. The automated features work pretty painlessly with generally good result. The way you input and edit things is a little different but not a problem once you get used to it. We export dwg to ACAD or SketchUp and import surveys - all work smoothly. The worst part about it is the name. It's the "Not So Big" cad software used by Sarah Susanka.
Chief Architect - any experience?
I just had someone ask me if I worked with Chief Architect. And I was like, uh, yeah, sometimes I work with the chief architect. (?!)
So, anybody out there have any experience with this product, Chief Architect? http://www.chiefarchitect.com/
Specifically, interfacing with AutoCad/other standard industry programs.
Thanks. I'm sure it's no maya, but it seems to be a pretty good image maker.
