Guess if there are a particulat pattern you just must use ; I allway's uses my digital camera, find the "texture" I need, amybe don't need yet but that looks inspiring, and then I, as you shuld with a digital camera, place it on a tripod so you don't need to use the blitz.

I've been to turbo squid and cad block exchange but have not found much else....
on a similar note...does anyone have good wood floor tectures?
any tips on how to rendering it so it doesnt look either tiled or too homogeneous?

all textures are made so that they tile seamlessly. large collection of area rugs as well, for some reason.

Has the best textures I've found so far. They have free low rez samples of all their textures that often are quite acceptable for most uses.
damn, I could have used this two weeks ago. I should surf archinect more often when I'm at work...
JohnProlly was giving out a bunch of wood, brick and concrete textures a while back, haven't seen him around here in a while, though.
Wow FOG, I could have used that site for my Senior Studio project. That's okay, it'll totally be used when I revamp the project for my portfolio.

Yeah, Arroway is awesome. I don't even know where to put the specular map. But the results are great even without it.
