Efficiently (?) Screening potential employers?

e909

Googling firm names from directory listings, then trawling firm websites is too time consuming. But I suspect a more efficient method doesn't exist.

I know checking websites is time-consuming, because I do that when I see an interesting job-offer ad.

When I see good newspaper article, I go to the newspaper's site and bookmark the article. Since articles highlight only the 'best' designs, articles give very thin coverage. And I'm not sure how to convert news info into... "leads" (?)

thx for the link. 450 cos in their 'master index'. http://www.insidearch.org/MasterFirmIndex.php

i haven't skimmed the list. i doubt any cos are LA, but they migth employ LAs. but then they probably employ licensed LAs. but (back to the first hand) some of the cos might give recommendations about LA cos more compatible with me.

the insidearch site is a bit misleading, since one of the forums http://www.insidearch.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=nycFirms seems to duplicate the master index. but the forum has only 4 threads.
