i've got a quick favor: trying to find a prefab building, i think in austria, that an architect built for leased land. the thing was built on 4-6 auger cast piers to lessen damage to environment... wanna say it was like a 40 year lease? anyone?
i have a feeling that building will look much better once the wood ages and the finish matches the neighboring strcutures...
i am going to guess a house in austria or germany...
the architect, looking for a cheap facade, found this fabric used in cow shelters, if I remember correctly. keeps the rain out, allows ventilation.
some architect can talk for hours about learning from the car industry or the design of aeroplaner. if you are on a budget, check out what your local farmers do :)
Name that Architect and Building!!!
ahhh that's why it looked familiar good job, you are up de Architectura

And I forgot to post before??? Damn ... two pics; northeast; 1960s ... good luck!
by the cars I'd would say it is the US and by the weather it could be Chicago or nearby? It has got a miesian taste...
About 700 miles east ... you're correct otherwise.
that would be mies' colonnade apts in newark. aaaallllmost a reason to go to newark.
to keep it going:
I can't figure it out; any hints?
swiss firm... lots of museum and housing projects
gigon|huyer's renovation of a historic villa in kastanienbaum

Terrace Houses by Erich Strolz in Innsbruck.
5800 miles east of Innsbruck:
yes, erich strolz of holz.box tirol.
and that's shuhei endo's skinny house.
i have a feeling that building will look much better once the wood ages and the finish matches the neighboring strcutures...

I'll say Switzlerland. Looks like something mgh would do - although I can't find it on their site
we're in gaißau...
although interesting selection on mgh... they've got some stellar werk.
That roof line is fucking boss.
I love how it's floating, except the stair - I think the intern designed that part. It seems a contained version of the dirty house by David Adjaye
a lot of this firms rooflines are pretty effing boss...
and prefab.
gaissau is in AT.
architect's name rhymes w/ chowder.
Daniel Sauter Wohnhaus in Gaissau;
Cremorne Riverside Centre- Wigglesworth?
Yes;
in need of a major bump
i know i've seen this recently... dutch?
Spain?
I believe it's Barcelona Spain... but it's unlikely that you'd not see any other buildings in the surroundings. So I'll say Germany
ok, that's parkway gate or gateway park or gaypart wake or something like that. manchester UK
ian simpson, arch.
does corten make a project instantly cool or are we too easy to seduce?

apologies for the eurotrash spelling, I was cooking and typing at the same time. here is a close up of facade and architect:
that would be walter unterrainer's passivhaus in feldkirch. walter's pretty amazing on the low-energy front.
