from my powers of deduction, dear Watson, I estimate that this building is located in the norther hemisphere (sun is setting on the larger elevation to allow in light)
Yea that's about all I got. I could say its German simply b/c holz has been on a germanic slant lately.
i've been looking for this project, i think it might be a spanish architect... but i'm probably wrong. it's an architect's house and studio, and on the facade facing a body of water, is a full metal screen. for a while i thought emilio ambasz, but that doesn't seem correct. anyone? buehler?
well in the case of the project above there is the justification that we were replacing a stretch of street that used to be row houses. although with all very similar facades in terms of number of floors, the window heights did jump up and down a bit, so it was an interpretation of the old and surrounding buildings.
Name that Architect and Building!!!
okay, so its Edward Cullinan's Millenium Primary School in Greenwich, and this is his house:
this last one looks like a barragan, but i don't think it's him.
it's the pawson/silvestrin house, in mallorca possibly?
anythings possible....
yeah, i'm saying neuendorf villa
another decent vorarlberger architekt...
should this be in the 'I smell a vorarlberger..." thread?
wait. no.
hey, that'd be a sweet thread!
another hint, a different project was recently posted on archdaily
Looks like Daniel Sauter - KM Architektur...
genau.
Einfamilienhaus Müller, Bregenz

not sure i even understand that picture. [turns laptop upside down.]
naoshima art site, ando.
this should help, steven...
Foiled again. I was wondering if I could sneak an Ando in without it being obvious.
next up:
an eco-ish house...

O migod. . .
Buildings just keep on getting "simpler," don't they ?
crap crap, i've seen this recently. i think it's south american...
i remember seeing a project similar. it was a hotel. the tubes were cast concrete, though. i'll try and 'member.

not sure who the architect is, though.
ha ha ha, almost but not quite @ the same time. (i got distracted)

darn it. i love that one, p2an, and i used to know it. but i don't now...
steven, i wasn't sure if i had posted it before...hope not.
p2an, and this goes for a lot of dutch projects...
what's the thinking behind the shifting? is it a play on the brick as fabric? just for looks?
nice project, though.
just for looks - we do it alot at cka.
eg
yeah, i've had the c en k book out the last few weeks. i was just wondering if there was some rationale other than aesthetics.
well in the case of the project above there is the justification that we were replacing a stretch of street that used to be row houses. although with all very similar facades in terms of number of floors, the window heights did jump up and down a bit, so it was an interpretation of the old and surrounding buildings.
I dont know the project above. Looks a little like Claus en Kaan or Vincent van Duysen... a nice mixture of sensuality and precision.
Anyone got any ideas on the steel pipe project above?
Looks like a euro city, perhaps paris? not jakob+macfarlane?
I think its the netherlands...
yeah, the stepped gable, either flemish but probably dutch...
Not Hans Verstuyft is it...?
