Marive King hired my wife to build a scale model for her college work. Yes, she claims to be an interior designer and she hadn't even finished her studies. Let alone being licensed (this was in 2003).

After my wife did the model for her she claimed she didn't like the work but that she would pay the next day if my wife went by her home.

When my wife went to claim her money she refused to pay and was very rude and almost violent with her.
This person robbed from her. If I were you I'd stay away from her.

DREAM HOME SOURCE No refund for useless plans even though they will not provide study plans or other means to determine suitability prior to purchase. Ripoff Tucson Arizona

Don't order plans from Dream Home Source. There is a reason that they do not have study plans or any way to determine prior to purchase whether or not the plans are suitable for your area. They know they are NOT! You can only return UNOPENED plans for a refund. If you order plans from Dream Home Source, you are throwing your money away. Also, you cannot sell the plans to another person either for any price. What a ripoff.

1. The consumer has no way to determine anything about the plans other than the floor plan before purchase. Their rebuttal is ridiculous in the extreme considering you know nothing about the plans before you purchase them.

2. You cannot return the plans for a refund if the design is flawed or comes nowhere near meeting code in your area or any area of the U.S.

3. You cannot sell the plans to another person.

4. It costs thousands of dollars to have the plans modified.

Rip off!!!

I did contact Dream Home Source for a refund once I received the plans and saw the poor design and architectural flaws, not to mention the code problems and received their standard "not in this lifetime" answer. I will spend as much time as possible warning other people not to purchase their plans online.

As far as the rebuttal from the architect -- sounds like a plug for himself to me. A company should stand behind its products and/or allow the consumer to have full detail up front of what he or she is purchasing.

this person for example is an asshole only because, claims the plans a real bad and useless then laments that they can not be sold (read dumped) on someone else (clearly showing this person has no problems of selling the bad plans to someone else).
shame on you kay.

Very entertaining site Orhan. And that Kay story…wtf? Bad Kay, bad!

I found it entertaining to meander through the posts and read all the stories - some rambled on about their experiences to no end!

I noticed this site has a million other categories to search on including "moving companies" & "storage" and thought this might be a good site to recommend for those folks worried about an upcoming move. Posts are entertaining but might shed some light on which companies to avoid…

i'm not sure what's worse that there are such unscrupulous "architects" out there or that there are such fools willing to give them money in the first place.

these people who pay 532 $ for a 'complete' set of plans for a house probably thought they beat the system and they were no 'expensive' architect's fools, and only to find out their plans were not only useless but they couldn't dump them on someone else...!
