oh yeah I wasn't paying attention either so no wonder I was shaking my head about people turning down jobs because of "office supply" story or some bull shit stuff like that or "ONLY" getting a 45G offer!

The original post about the CAD test is humorous. However, we've given Revit tests to potential employees. The test is real basic and exists to know a person can navigate the program.
The test stems from getting burned by mid-level new hires not knowing the first thing about Revit, CAD, etc despite portfoilios and assertations to the contrary.
This was posted 3 yers ago when no one was picky. But nowadays, I can imagine that many firms test on proficiency. There are too many architects out there who were "above" learning cad work and are now not desirable candidates for firms who have slimmed down and depend on everyone to contribute.
