We are currently constructing some 60 houses, and the contractors were required to fit out a site office for us (a staff of 3). We have a budget of roughly 4k to fit it out with the essentials but as of late I seem to be drawing a blank.

Right so we are going with the printer/copier/fax combo
digital camera - 4 mp
we've got two BIG desks there
Hardhats and boots are on the way
Leinz folders and shelves too
Bunch of basic stationary as well
Computer is coming too
still got some money left back - and its too small for a pool table
After the second or third time of having to climb around in elevator pits measuring foundations in my spiffy office duds I resolved that if I ever have my own office we will get matching, stylish coveralls with the name on the back to keep at our desks and put on for site visits.
Stuff for Site Office

Some initial thoughts
Drawing hangers and clips,
Shower
large/long table to inspect drawings
Essential stationary + plenty of markers
Computer setup ( of course)
shelves/storage spaces ( lockable) ..
what else ??.....
fax
phone
hardhats
plausable deniability
beerz
cheap digital camera, photocopier, large collapsable table...
^^liability protection
oh yes .. a printer ( preferably an A3 size one)
fill it with 4 stacks of 100 dollar bills. then roll around in them.
