they were the only architects other than foga who were elitist enough to not have a website... and now they've caved to the masses, to the plebian pressure trying to bring them down from their pedastal.
do you think wittgenstein would have wanted a website? no way.
ds+r make some really interesting drawings.
i've yet to see a project that didn't leave a lot to be desired. don't get me started on the details @ ICA.
the ICA has some great and some really disasterous moments. a lot of the big D design moments end up feeling contrived and weak...the more subtle moments are quite nice, though.
The more I check out their website, the more I like it. Clear navigation, concise project explanations, nice big images, and *no flash*! Good for them.
the DSR website is nice looking and informative, but its BORING. it doesn't take advantage of web media at all. it could just as easily been in a book. exact same content and layout. B O R I N G
had a splash page for a long time before launching a new site but it's been almost a year now since it says "Brevemente..." (portuguese for "Coming Soon...")
and I thought Isozaki didn't have a website but it seems there's a couple of them.. 12

DS+R Website!!
Diller Scofido + Renfro finally have a website!!!
http://www.dillerscofidio.com/
i wouldn't call a splash page a web site.
I know, that was the joke...seeing as how they have had nothing for years and that's it.
and the email address isn't even a link. ha.
It's funny how they are so big into media and stuff, then their website is bunk/nonexistant.
yeah, i've had trouble understanding that one too.
Apparently they use Macs though...
keeping their underground and silent style in this field may be lol
yada
yada
I didn't know Gollum liked Prada.
jason: don't you know it's not PC on archinect to love the gutter?
design them a website for free!!! and maybe they'll hire you!!!
who said I love the gutter? just saying, that is what came up when I searched for their firm on google. just the facts.
they are so famous they don't need a website.
Why did they blur out the dock on the powerbook in the background?
Huh huh, you said blur. Maybe it has to do with copyrights on the logos?
that's it ?? .. oh ok ...
at least I have their address now !!
jc: better that than this!

I love that new Prada model.
It's interesting the 'famous' architects who do not have a website:
DS+R, Herzog & deMeuron, Tadao Ando, Peter Zumthor.
Pretty much the only 'famous' architects I like. I wonder why.
not official website, but nice enough
WELL LADIES AND GENTS, HERE WE GO.
finally....
nothing says you're a hot-shit architect like having a website "under construction"...or none at all
if you want to see me, check the papers and the TV
look who's telling who what to do
I love the use of the word "straddling". No one in charge had a thesaurus?
I totally dig their rendering style.
Does anyone know if the Eyebeam thing is ever actually going to get built? What's the status of that project?
I hope the giant spider robot doesn't get value-engineered!

wittgenstein?
with a sister he had, who'd need a website.
they were not "the only architects other tha ghery" to not have a website -- herzog and demueron don't have one either
oh yeah. i forgot HdM.
well. DS+R have succumbed to the future i guess.
ds+r make some really interesting drawings.

wittgenstein's got a wiki
sverre fehn doesn't have a website, either.
nor ando
nor Isozaki... and Ito seems to be permanently under construction too
(well, there are those japanese fake official websites...)
please holz, get started on the ICA details, i'd love to hear something other than the overwhelming praise the place has gotten in the media.

I know I'm late, but SANAA doesn't have a website either. Just to throw another one in...
what do you have against flash?

Maki just got a new website. Looks nicer than the old one.
http://www.maki-and-associates.co.jp/e/index.shtml
well sanaa does have a website, its very sanaa if you ask me
http://www.sanaa.co.jp/
that is not a site, that is a splash page. a site has more than one page.
had a splash page for a long time before launching a new site but it's been almost a year now since it says "Brevemente..." (portuguese for "Coming Soon...")
