archinaut,
i might be a few days late in getting my cd out to you since i'm on vacation... send me an email so that i have your address and i'll send it as soon as it's ready...
osl8ing,
i guess that you're sending to me now, so i'll try emailing you in just a second...
AP- you should have your round 1 CD by now, but I see you are on vacation so it will be waiting for you at home.
FLM- sorry I haven't gotten back to you. between work, side work, race season, my GF buying a 1920 fixer-upper house, and my friend killing my truck I'm just not gonna make it. Sooo......... as much as I wanna play it looks like I'm out and you're sending to bigness.
vacation...I wish...actually, a 2 week work-trade with our Nashville office...last day is tomorrow, back Friday night, listening to your CD while watching the World Cup (USA / Italy) on Saturday...
the only misgiving i have is that after all the bad summer songs i listed (see above) - and while i've only included ones that i think are really great songs - foglite could think that i've included MORE bad summer and driving songs if he doesn't lak him some country music every once in er while. not commercial country, mind you. just the real stuff.
So now that I'm driving with a one year old in the back the requirements for what gets played on the road trips are quite different. Recently took a 8 hour trip to visit the in-laws and the kid burst out screaming when I put in the last mix from Liberty. (He didn't like the mix I made for him either. He didn't appreciate the Davies Bros telling him to stop crying.) So far he seems to only enjoy Sufjan Stevens and the Innocence Mission lullabies. I guess musical taste is one of those things that is environmental/ nurture.
no aml, whoever is supposed to send to her will now send to you, strawbeary in this case, why dont you drop strawbeary an email, see if shes heard from susan surface, and if not she can be your new cd swap partner.
i had a 76 competition orange trans am. it had 400 cubic inch engine. it was the only automatic that i ever owned. it was not that fast. i believe my first car a 72 maverick "grabber" with a 302 three speed was much quicker. wrapped trans am around a tree in an ice storm. good times...
FOGlite, give the one-year-old time. 3-y-o Angus routinely requests Ike Reilly, even when I'm more in the mood for Aqualung.
lletdownl, I brought your CD to Kentucky with me and won't get a chance to mail it until Monday, i'm afraid. But I'll get it there.
One and only one automatic, vado - good job. Automatics are not driving, IMO (especially now that I have a Miata. Believe me, you can't drive an XB like a Miata, no matter how hard you try!)
I will need to mail a CD soon as I am on vacation Wed - Mon.
aml - send me your address, and if I don't hear from Susan by tomorrow, Monday, I will send to you.
Mine will be late also. lletdownl, I hope to get it in the mail this week, I've not had time during the day to get to a post office here in Lexington KY.
Since such varied musical tastes and knowledge reside on this thread, I'm gonna throw out a Sunday night trivia question: What song contains the lyric:
Let her go, let her go, God bless her.
Wherever she may be,
She can search this whole wide world over,
She ain't never gonna find another man like me.
And then, oh smart music afficianado archinectors, which version of this song should I buy from itunes?
No fair just googling it, vado - you now need to prove your musical knowledge by recommending a good version for me to download. The White Stripes version is not what I'm after, I'm looking for more downhome Kentucky.
The song name is also mentioned, and the famous lyric used, in a song by a vastly underrated singer/songwriter: who, and his song's name?
i just got back from my vacation and i still haven't heard from archinaut (who i was supposed to send to) or osl8ing (who was supposed to send to me in lieu of manamana)...
has anyone else heard from either of these two guys (or girls)???
am i correct that in their absence i should send to wantanfon5 and receive from skeerd??? let me know and i'll try contacting them...
architphil - you are correct, contact those people for your new (again!) cd swap info.
brightside - this one has actually already passed its deadline, but there will be another one starting some time in july (probably mid july as its going to take some time to weed out the people that did not respond to this last one) and i will include you in that one.
Strawberry, I sent you an e-mail requesting your info via your archinect link, but have not heard back. Shoot me a message with my link and I will send out your tunes!
Sean!, sent you an e-mail as well, hope you are still in! I would love to get some music this go round!
franklloydmike, yours is on the way- i had fatal computer problems so i decided to send you the last draft [i still wanted to play with it but my notebook said no]. it will take a while still, coming from south america.
it's the last time i post first on a page- i'm so tired of looking at my post everytime i load page 5. when do we get to the next page? [hopefully not on this post]
CD Swap!
thanks quixotica, will do!
archinaut,

hello archinect CD swappers!!

Lookin' FROward to it. ;)
good luck with your current madness^
(with a weekend vacation to DC in the midst of the 2 weeks in Nashtyville)
finished! discs burned, covers printed.
the only misgiving i have is that after all the bad summer songs i listed (see above) - and while i've only included ones that i think are really great songs - foglite could think that i've included MORE bad summer and driving songs if he doesn't lak him some country music every once in er while. not commercial country, mind you. just the real stuff.
we'll see.
If Radar Love isn't on there then you have not made a true driving/ summertime compilation. Failed. Utterly and completely.
I do like me a fly banjo every once an agin. Or a Flying Burrito Brother.
So now that I'm driving with a one year old in the back the requirements for what gets played on the road trips are quite different. all my cd mixes have radar love on them...one more radar love is gone...
dammit. i thought about radar love! i switched it out for 'handcuffed to a fence in mississippi'.
my trans am is missing, my trans am is missing...
I haven't heard from susan surface yet. I e-mailed you, are you out there?
Strawbeary i have lost hope that susan surface will materialize. i have yet to receive a cd exchange 1 cd yet and only recieved one contact from her.
Man, my trans am has been missing for about 20 years...
well, that would mean i'll get no cd this time around- she's supposed to send to me.
no aml, whoever is supposed to send to her will now send to you, strawbeary in this case, why dont you drop strawbeary an email, see if shes heard from susan surface, and if not she can be your new cd swap partner.
okay, so i'll send to bigness. has anyone heard from MrFletchersevil?
i had a 76 competition orange trans am. it had 400 cubic inch engine. it was the only automatic that i ever owned. it was not that fast. i believe my first car a 72 maverick "grabber" with a 302 three speed was much quicker. wrapped trans am around a tree in an ice storm. good times...

FrankLloydMike, most surely I'll send to you-
i was supposed to send to MrFletchersevil but he hasn't returned my email- I'm waiting until the 20th as quixotica said.
Strawbeary, if Susan does not show up I'll gladly get your CD!
I will need to mail a CD soon as I am on vacation Wed - Mon.
aml - send me your address, and if I don't hear from Susan by tomorrow, Monday, I will send to you.
i'm back now. sorry was in china- but cd will be fired off very shortly....
and its me thats meant to get one from susan surface and i havent heard anything from her either so.....
chairman, would that mean you're sending to me as originally planned and strawberry is sending to you [skipping susan surface]?
Quixotica, you are sending to Dusty, who in turn is to send to me. Have you got an email address for D?
franklloydmike, just sent you an email
yes aml- will send to you- just reply to the email i sent,
and strawbeary to me please? i think susan surface has dissapeared
not yet, but then again i havent exactly sent him an email yet, I'll get back to you soon and let you know if i got a hold of him.
Chairman Mao - i will send to you. e-mail me your address.
fun, fun, just replied to both franklloydmike and chairman mao. we're all set then...

Steven -
I'm running a little behind, hope to have the CD sent by the end of the week.

ok PsyArch, no word from dusty, looks like I'm sending to you.
sure it's the day before the deadline, and i haven't heard from either the person i'm sending to, nor the person i'm gettin' from.
...Looking Out For Advisement in California. (LOFAiC)
mine will be late!
AP- will be in the mail in a day or two
mightylittle, send emails to stephanie and superglue. stephanie can send to you and you can send to superglue.
Mine will be late also. lletdownl, I hope to get it in the mail this week, I've not had time during the day to get to a post office here in Lexington KY.

i'm having the same issue liberty bell is having. didn't make the mail today, but i hope it will tomorrow or the next day!
We should send one of our faculty liasons to the post office together, Steven! Where are you right now, anyway? ;-)
hey quix...

Sean!, sent you an e-mail as well, hope you are still in! I would love to get some music this go round!
Oops... stephanie, not Strawbeary (maybe that was the problem)...sorry
3dG - yeh, I saw it, didn't reply cause I was confused. :)
Mine's late to go out, I didn't get it out before I went on vacation, back now so will get it out tomorrow.
archtiphil, I know osl8ing, I will remind him.
chairman, no problems.
franklloydmike, yours is on the way- i had fatal computer problems so i decided to send you the last draft [i still wanted to play with it but my notebook said no]. it will take a while still, coming from south america.
