Qustion for ACAD wizards.

Lord Auch

Is there a method of resetting the properties window?
The properties window in ACAD 2006 is caught on the edge of the workspace and I cant open it. Is there a way of resetting my preferences to go back to an initial state?

Thanks!

Can you right click or double click on it?

I deleted my preferences file and got the window back, but now it displays no information when I select an object or line. WTF!

same thing was happening to me. I've read in the internet that it's a bug on the version. what you need to do is reinstall autocad but instead of doing the full install, you need to select the repair option...

go to control panel
double click Add/Remove Programs
pick autocad 2006
click on "Change"
on the dialog box, pick the second radio button, which should be the repair option, click "OK"

Re: Properties Dialog Box

Open the CUI and customize your current workspace. Expand "Dockable
windows" and select the properties. Set it to show, allow docking,
orientation left. This will dock it on the left of your screen. You can
then move it where you want.

Had to do the repair but it worked.
Acad is the bugies software I have ever seen. From one release to the next the same bugs persist.
