The rankings are based on design criteria not facilities. You have the Greg, Mayne, Denari, Servo camp @ UCLA. Who do you have at SciArch? Eric Owen Moss & Hernan, please! You lose this one Jasoncross.
plus, you said best...to me, part of being the best is definately the facilities...if you are left talking about it...well then...nuff said...my personal interest is very much in facilities...lots of great teachers who do not have big names.
i didn't see celeriter's list as a ranking so much as a listing of the bracket. Perhaps it could become a seeding, leading to a sweet sixteen, final four, etc. It is march after all.
dude i don't know why people make a huge fuss about comparing different programs
its like buying a car, you have to compare to see which ones are good ......so you get the best education
How the hell did Auburn get above JawjaTek? But I will buy that Clemson is better than TX. (I did that just because I didn't get enough 'wrath' from the 'Fat Baaastard' of Exxon today.)
I agree with some of the comments mentioned above. With that said, I believe we should all post our final four and call it a day and let the architectural gods rank them.
purposely leaving at least one more deserving school out of it? If you need help: USC fits between SCIArc and U Washington alphabetically, and is a very good school. Drop Boulder and put a good school on.
The best design school in the East, West & Midwest??
What are the best architecture design schools in the the East, West & Midwest? UCLA / Columbia / GSD are the most popular choices, any thoughts?
haha.
sigh...
SuperHeavy what are you doing up so late? Shouldn't you be resting up for the big Irish pub crawl?!

MIT was a gross error in omission

I didn't know Cincinnati had an architecture school. How 'bout that!
Just kidding. Please stop ranking things.
Then how the fuck did USC not even get into the bracket? Or are we all in love with trendy schools here even if they have crappy 2+2+2 systems?

ak_asian, Cal Poly is #4 in the west list...
my cellphone is better than your cellphone.
I really doubt Auburn and Clemson are better than Texas
How the hell did Auburn get above JawjaTek? But I will buy that Clemson is better than TX. (I did that just because I didn't get enough 'wrath' from the 'Fat Baaastard' of Exxon today.)
