I would like to learn CAD skills and I have a MAC. Can anyone recommend which version of CAD for Mac I should learn that will translate well to working with CAD on Windows?
Does this seem like a bad way to learn CAD? Would it be much more advantageous for me to learn on Windows?
Vectorworks is an industry standard with those who use Mac. I use it, and like it a lot. I had previously used Autocad for about 5 years, and have had no problems.
Vectorworks imports and exports dwg files allowing you to access Autocad files.
I know that you can get a student copy from Vectorworks for $160 and $400 with all the instructional documents.

ArchiCAD works the same on both platforms....
