melquiades, given that this is a brochure and not something with a more standard format like a postcard or business card, your best bet would be to speak with a small local printer. in most cases you will have better pricing luck with 2 color print shop than one that does four color process as their presses will be smaller and thus have less overhead.
i saw the recommendation by paul petrunia here, and ordered my business cards from them. i made two shades of gray just in case one fails the other would work, as paul also mentioned the issue. i was right, one failed green the other didn't. they have standart matte or gloss coated thick paper, use offset printing machine and very affordable. other than the chancy color issue (i found out gray is a hard color to match) i recommend.
yeah, for standard items like bcards this can be an option, but not for a brochure. what they call a brochure is an 8.5x11 sheet. that is not a brochure.
hmmm, actually modern postcard has something called a folded postcard. it is a roll fold to a max of 5.75"x11"
as with all of these places, you have to be willing to relinquish control over color, paper stock [usually only gloss (yuck) sheets only], and size. with regards to printing, it is nothing that will kick ass or leave you speechless.

folded postcard looks like a good idea at a decent price. I agree....gloss ain't going to help any business!
