dammit, and i was going to go home for lunch today and check my mail. Now I have to wait till 5 to get my rejection. I have heard New Haven is not so great but a friend said they have a beautiful campus.
oh whoops, didnt mean that to be all caps.... switching back and forth from typing CAD text to this thing. didnt look it over before pressing submit... my bad!
MArch06-
i know how you feel. i haven't heard anything from berkeley or ucla. berkeley's website says that decisions will be emailed by "begining of april". earlier, somewhere in this thread, someone said that they talked to ucla and it would be late march/ early april.
wilday...its really killing me. i read that stuff on berkeley's website as well, but im not so sure i believe it, or at least not as gospel...especially after hearing from Wash U on march 4th, their deadline was feb 8th....less than a month, that's just crazy.
you wonder why berkeley makes you submit in december if it takes this long.
March06-
i don't know if this is a very good indicator, but according to last year's posts, it looks like berkeley notified everyone around march 29 or 30. 3.5 months is a long time to make us wait, but there is nothing we can do but keep checking our email every 5 minutes.
i think my first choice is gatech, but it had been yale. i have yet to go home and check the mail though. if i do in fact get in at yale, that'll make my decision more difficult. still weighing between osu and gatech though (accepted to both already)...
odp1 -- how do you know paper acceptances for Yale went out today? did you get one? congrats if so, that's awesome!
can someone please confirm that -- otherwise I will not go home. ever.
it's like serving a subpoena -- as long as I don't get the letter, I was never rejected. If I don't get a rejection I will just show up in the fall wearing a school sweatshirt and beanie with a shiny apple and a brown bag lunch in my napsack.
A Center for Ants? - I'm on the West Coast and will be enduring the same wait as you.
I don't know if I've really ranked my schools, I want to go to their open houses and figure out from there (assuming I have choices!). It'd be sweet to be accepted by Yale (very doubtful at this point) or Penn (um, who knows), but I'm not sure yet what's the best fit. Weighing it all out - a decision I believe that should not be made hastily.
j - People have individual circumstances, some of which that does not allow for travel and visiting schools. I personally really really wanted to visit schools prior to applying, but after financial (or lack-thereof) discussions with the family, resigned to visiting schools post-application and acceptance, since most likely there would be less to visit, making it wiser financially. I live in Seattle and besides the UW, the next closest school is WSU - a nice 5+ hour drive to BFE Eastern Washington, weather over passes permitting. Same for UofO - 6+ hours, weather permitting. Then there's travel to California or the East Coast, which would require easily a week each to visit just a small handfull of schools, due to the length of travel to the first destination plus travel between different schools. The West is not blessed with blissfully short commuter flights and trains. Add all this on top of starting a new job which is obviously short on vacation leave and having to care for a nearly disabled-but-soon-to-be-post-op parent. I highly doubt anyone just fluffed off not visiting schools, rather most have truly thought over whether they should visit schools or not.
Alright, enough with the rant. Back to my painfully slow computer unable to regender drawings... yippee...
Accepted to CCA today, if anyone is interested. Never had a phone interview and got a packet in the mail. The enticing part is that I can enter in at the second year level. They are my "safety" and are at the bottom of my list, but its good to have 2 of 5 out of the way.

i am now on the yale waiting list. i really wish they just said yes or no...btw how big/ small is their class? looks like many ppl got turned down for m.arch. I...
i also called columbia today and they told me they didn't have a decision made for me... is that be good or bad? ...hmmm.....time will tell
Good question. Living in Japan seems to mean that I will get everything a few days later. I, for one, would not mind email notification of rejection or acceptance.
thanks vman! first i got a call from mr. bob stern while i was in the bathroom of the dallas/forthworth airport, then i got an email, and now a ginormous package with no financial aid information. i guess that's next.
ah thin rejection letter from Yale..
I saw a guy from another website(other country) posting that he had been accepted to the GSD(today M.arch2), Yale(dunno) and Columbia(msaad).
Well where ever he decides to go, could meen 2 more spots for somebody else at the above schools...
best of luck to everyone
accepted to grad schools yet?
luciab-
10 pts if you can figure it out (probably not as hard as you think). but keep it on the d/l

ants, i think i got it. good luck!!
new haven is just about as crappy as princeton.
Rejected--Yale.
it was kind of satisfying dumping the yale bulletin in the recylcing bin..

Nice campus. City sucks.
Paper acceptances came in the mail today too, so you never know.
Yale: rejection.
I THINK YALE HAS SOMETHING AGAINST ARCHINECT KIDS
oh whoops, didnt mean that to be all caps.... switching back and forth from typing CAD text to this thing. didnt look it over before pressing submit... my bad!

AHHHHHH
Based on experiences of others in the past and on this same type of thread from last year I would look for the UCLA notices in early April.
I've asked this before but, is there anyone else who has applied to Parsons and heard nothing back?

i got accepted to my 3rd choice....out of 3. ;)
where are you ppl that are getting letters from yale? anyone on the west coast? or am i gonna have to endure an extra day or two of torture?
i think my first choice is gatech, but it had been yale. i have yet to go home and check the mail though. if i do in fact get in at yale, that'll make my decision more difficult. still weighing between osu and gatech though (accepted to both already)...

ACFA-i'm in chicago, and the letter came this morning (the mail comes fairly early), so i don't know what that means for the westcoast.
acquaman, i got a letter from uiuc on thursday, but i'm really pretty close
thanks switcheroo.........just want to see if anyone is feeling the exact same anxiety as myself.

Congrats phasty!
Well, I got a small envelope from UOregon today, with an acceptance into the Option II MArch program.
Whew . . . had to tell myself not to pass out while walking up the stairs to my apartment with the envelope unopened.
1 down, 3 to go.
Although, they did refer to me as "Mr." in the acceptance letter . . . which is somewhat irksome . . .

no yale for me either (m arch 1)...
seems like the non-arch applicants are not getting into yale; still waiting for a rejection on my behalf.
i
I just got the dreaded thin letter from UOregon...BUT, I have been accepted to Wash U in St Louis & GaTech...Three down, two to go!
I can confirm that the yale paper acceptances went out today 'cause i got one in my mailbox when i got home. mountain standard time.
remedios-
congrats! did they email or call you before you got the snail mail?
Good question. Living in Japan seems to mean that I will get everything a few days later. I, for one, would not mind email notification of rejection or acceptance.
the thin envelope from Yale showed up... ah well, at least I have one school that wants me
thanks vman! first i got a call from mr. bob stern while i was in the bathroom of the dallas/forthworth airport, then i got an email, and now a ginormous package with no financial aid information. i guess that's next.
