I was laughing at the walking building, but yes Piano's building is a great example. But this works best on a continuous hill. How would this type of building bend with the level ground below it?
ando did three buildings in rokko, an upscale-ish part of kobe. the 1st is pretty good, the 2nd is brilliant and the 3rd i haven't visited but it looks not quite so nice in photos, but probably made more money for the developer...
thanks for all the suggestions. the ando ones in kobe are great, i used to live down the hill from them. the 3rd one is a sell out. As for the name change, it was always genuwine, but for some reason, yesterday it came up as a different name. anyway...
stepping buildings??
anyone have examples of buildings that step down hillsides?
or, RPBW's is a classic
Ha ha ha ha ha. Diabase, classic.
k, you seem frustrated. I think I know you. I think you work with a certain roommate of mine.

Ha. Initials RH.
Most Italian Hill Towns are virtually indistinguishable from a single building ... this happens to be Cortona:

Not sure where he was from. Not sure I should dispose info on Archinect to protect anonymity. But I'll send you an email.
Hamilton Cove in Avalon, Catalina Island. try googling for some images - they have lots of vacation rentals.
