alternative natural lighting

i'd like to know if there are architectural firms dealing with alternative sources of natural lighting for buildings available in the uk.

could you clarify you question a bit? At this point it sounds like you are looking for an alternative to the sun, that is still natural. Or are you just looking for an alternative to windows and skylights?
