where do you download music from?

popeye

I am looking for a site to download music from, but I only like to listen to entire albums. Is there a site that has a lot of albums one can download. I just checked out itunes and napster and neither of those sites have much in the way of music I am looking for.

All I tried searching for was can and radiohead. Nada on both sites.

Downloading copyrighted music is bad.

joe, you know that allofmp3.com is of very dubious legitimacy. it's based in russia, where copyright isn't strongly enforced. if you're gonna pirate, why bother paying someone else to do it for you? i guess if you want ogg files, or something hard to find, maybe... but otherwise go free: i use xfactor on the mac.

Epitonic

has legal mp3 downloads, but most of their stuff is rather obscure [ie, not top 40] and unfortunately does'nt seem to have been updated for quite some time. Excellent for abstract music.

Bittorrent often has entire artists' CATALOGS packaged together for download (and yes, it's kind of excessive and insane). You need not download the whole thing, though, you can pick and choose if you use clients such as Bittornado or Azureus.
