How about superkul inc architect

www.superkul.ca/

actually, its even worse than that becuse they use an omlot over the u. I couldn't figure out how to put the omlot in this post using my conventional keyboard, which is reason enough not to put into your non-german firm name...the work is not bad though

The point of all this seems to be that there is no way to name a firm without sounding corny or boring. If these are all that's bad, what else is left to be good?

Central Office of Architecture
Get me my knitting needles, Madame DeFarge.

Yes, in fact we ARE smarter than you...

Syndesis
Why you're soaking in it!

any firm with a "+" instead of "and"
I always hated math

Studio ---- (fill in the blank)
I could use some extensions or a tip job!

I've always like The Architects Collaborative - so Gidieon!

What really annoys is that these firms are SO GOOD. I could never be in marketing...

some of the most dangerous barn structures I've ever seen....

Believe it or not, this guy is for real....he attended one of my juries in school and once he announced his firm name instantly lost his credibility amongst most of the students......

There's a really skanky sign on Ludlow Street in Manhattan. Tacked upon a totally ghetto, falling-apart building, forget the name & exact wording but it's kind of horrifying.. something like "GEORGE LEE REGISTERED ARCHITECTS CABINETRY AND TAILOR"

eeeeeek. Will try to snap a photo.

nono - sisu's right superkulh is the worst -THE WORST - name ever.

Seriously, they're building a house near when my parent's live, and my mom keeps asking what the name is all about - as if I'd know. "Uh i don't know mom ... maybe they're idiots."

The house isn't that hot either.

superkuhl ... more like superlame.

Incidently ... is koolhaas really rem's birth given last name?

B.L.U.N.T. --- hehe he said "blunt". No that's an awesome name.

there's a design build in new york called 8x8 ... wtf? They do construction, they should know nothing comes in 8x8. why not 4x8?

how about Aaron Tan's (former OMA Asia founder in Hong Kong) new firm name: RAD (i.e. Research Architecture Design)! See latest Metroplis or Architetcure (I forget) for his new glass tower in Seoule (pretty nice)

anything variation of 'tectonic' incorporated into the name seems kinda lame, then there's Tronic, which seems kinda cool (like a record label maybe)

a good name for a firm occured to me this weekend, 'mr roboto'

but i agree with bryan4arch, what's a good name for a firm then? all those who have mocked other firm's names - submit what you think would be an actual GOOD name. IF YOU DARE! :)

my honest answer would probably be my post name. there, i've started.

but also, superkuhl and b.l.u.n.t. are by far the coolest ever. put everything else to shame.

Not sure what people have against Morphisis, always thought that was pretty good and explained things. I can see why Mayne is starting to promote his name and not the firm's name, it's getting pretty old.

TEN Arquitectos works well, too, given the names

SHoP works well, too, with their names

So that's what I think is decent.

What I don't like:

Nox

i always liked morphosis too. but it does seem to be getting dated. perhaps the only good firm name that endures the test of time is one's own name? no pretension, no alias, no baggage.
