Can digital portfolios for application have different page sizes and resolutions? It would be quite helpful to have some less important pages in a smaller size and have some space left over for more important and detailed pages when you have a capacity limit, usually 15mb.
No, that's a silly request. Just spend more time on the design of the portfolio and triage your work so that you don't have to rely on half-baked lazy shortcuts. 15mb is plenty big.
Yes you can have different resolutions. For pages with just renders/images, contents and title pages with a lot of words, can be a lower resolution, i.e 96dpi. For line drawings, 150dpi or even 300dpi for the important/key pages. Then just combine the jpeg’s into one pdf. I tried several iterations before getting the portfolio down to the required MB
