For those who are able to get together with friends and family over the holidays, please enjoy it and have a drink or 12 for those of us who can't. Hug your family. Tell them you love them. Enjoy their company even if things aren't perfect.
Sadly things are stacked against our families this year so there's no celebrations, no gathering, nothing. I don't care for tradition, I'm not a sentimental person and I'm not religious - but not being able to enjoy the company of others for reasons beyond my control still hurts more than I'd like to admit.
