I get it, you're asking for a recognized term; I'm not sure there is one. I might use "bulkhead zone glazing," especially in the context of commercial storefronts.
Window Naming convention question?
hello, hoping to learn the proper name of the lower section of windows near ankles in a retail storefront context...
Base Level-Lower Glazing-Kickplate Zone
Transom windows are above door height...(sidelights, adjacent)
Then what will name be for spot in bottom area ???

Yeah right, maybe in an office curtain wall setting, but a retail storefront context? Fat chance.
