I currently am out of school for two years and am looking for advice on how to improve my portfolio in order to gain entry into firms with other project type experiences. How should I show my academic work versus professional work?
When I first got out school, I just took a governmental job offer to satisfy my passion for public sector work. Now I am ready to expand my horizon into maybe K-12 school designs, healthcare, or institutions for a junior/entry level position. How can I improve my chances?
Honestly, nothing stands out. Graphically the work is pretty bland.
The only details in your work look overly simplified.
Work samples are typically 1-2 pages, you have to really look at your work and find your best projects. It looks like a lot needs to be improved in order to demonstrate comprehension of how a building is put together.
Your “passion” has put you behind others who are two years out of school
