Having a thick skin and tolerance for dealing with bs from people we would rather not deal with. Also explaining to people how to do their job when it should be obvious without sounding like a jerk.
What do you mean by saying technical ability? Is it maths skills, analyzing and researching experience? If yes, then I would like to tell that this answer is quite similar to "What is more important: a health or a beauty?". And I think that both them are two sides of only one coin. So, if you have good technical skills - you will be able to build a "healthy" house. And if you additionally have a good vision of design you will make that building more comfortable and more beautiful for visitors. So, a balance and a combination of those things is a way to success.
Were is our most value?: In our technical ability or design ability?
Were is our most value?: In our technical ability or design ability?
Although there is some HEAVY creativity on the technical side, In my mind our technical ability add's the most value. Your thoughts
Our value lies in our ability to get our clients' projects through the necessary hurdles that stand in the way of their investment.
Everything else is secondary.
Agreed but that cannot be accomplished without some ability beside availability
Hopefully, the ability to balance aesthetic, budget, regulatory, construction and functionality, and the tradeoffs among them
In the ability to walk on a construction site and wave ones arms around in a superbly uninformed way.
Servicing our clients by getting things done.
Convincing anybody that they need an architect.

Were is our most value?: In our technical ability or design ability?
Most certainly not in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
^ how do you pronounce and spell "LAME"
In using our technical ability to get a design realised and in using our design ability to tackle technical issues, or vice versa, or something.
Seeing stuff that no one else can. Aka Visualizing. Def not grammar.
Must read:
your thoughts on this read?
It is a great read explaining the history, value, use and misuse of design for designers and nondesigners alike and is very accessibly written

Knowing how to answer your clients questions without referring them to your consultants or telling them that you need to ask your consultant.
