i just purchased an ipod and last night had success of uploading 6 albums onto the i-pod; however, each time when i reconnect the ipod (u.s.b.) to my dell laptop,,,,, no such luck of uploading the new playlists....any advice?

do you have it set up so that it automatically transfers new items? if so, turn it off. i found that it totally messes things up (directory / file structure; playlists; etc). just drag and drop. if that doesn't work try the forums at ipod lounge
