I'm wondering about cross border licensing - if someone is educated in Canada (accredited degrees) then moves to the US and gets their license through NCARB after all experience and exam requirements are met (say in Washington State) can they then move back to Canada and be licensed to practice (say in Toronto) ? Or is there a process where you would need to vet your experience (like BEFA) and do further testing?

Reciprocity exists between Canada, USA, and Mexico and you can consult the CACB for all foreign architects entering Canada.

Moreover, for eligibility for licensure in Ontario, consult the OAA website. Here's the revelant pdf, (start @ page6)

CACB Accredited degrees are deemed equivalent in all US states except . . .
Arkansas
Virginia
Oregon
Nebraska
Mississippi
Louisiana
Virgin Islands
Alabama
It seems you cannot become a licensed architect in these states if your education is Canadian, there may be some loopholes though.
