This space is primarily focused on the visitor experience. A concierge style reception area immediately establishes a sense of arrival and a social setting with comfortable seating and an expansive view of the city’s changing skyline. Solid hemlock timbers provide a warm and natural counterpoint to sleek white walls and exposed concrete floors. Extensive glass surfaces at offices and conference rooms highlight the great views and distribute daylighting throughout the office. A central pantry area features a bar height table for eating lunch or to serve catered meals. It is also often used as an alternative workspace by staff. Offices are unassigned, and team members from the firm’s Palo Alto location as well as clients drop in frequently. A large board room – the pitch room – is neighbored by a more intimate meeting room conducive to closing the deal, a process they know all too well.
