EDA's intent was to make a small space, of 220 s.f appear more spacious without sacrificing the practicalities of everyday living. This was achieved by the use of full height custom made cabinetry and the use of under bed storage without disrupting the balance and simplicity of each use. Each area served a dual purpose. The sliding glass door was used for privacy but also brought light into the space, the use of door panels were flipped up to become counter-tops. The contrasting use of materials allowed each element to stand out by itself. The use of teak counter-tops, glass walls, bamboo flooring, mosaic tiled walls and white and dark millwork provided a spacious feel.
