3Parques

“3 Parques” is a project located in the neighborhood of Bella Suiza in Bogotá city near the calle 129 right below the Carrera 7. We developed three different typologies for these apartments based on: the flexibility of the spaces, the exteriorization of the social areas, the comfort of the private areas and the functionality of the service areas. In this way, for the apartments with fewer areas which are destined to single, newlyweds or young couples, we projected open spaces where there is not delimitation for each are but to allow the space to flow and relate, creating a sensation of amplitude and a new life style. For intermediate areas we decided to relate the more public areas, like the kitchen, the dining room and living room through a single wide space; while the more private zones like the bedrooms we contemplated two possibilities: first, to generate an area sheltered by two independent rooms, and second merging one of the bedrooms to the wide social area with a study, generating more amplitude and integration for the social area. Finally, the apartment with the greatest area we developed it keeping a more traditional separation of each zone taking into account the comfort of the private area; the amplitude of the social areas, like the kitchen and clothing room, and the flexibility of ownership of the rooms, keeping the possibility to integrate one of the three bedrooms into the social area. This same concept of privacy and flexibility can be read in the façades of the building, having more open planes towards the center of the volume where the social areas group together, reinforcing it with the sinuous lines that generates the balconies that are joining as they go up the façade and permit these zones to relate with the exterior of the city, the ceros (hills) of Bogotá, by having sliding door-windows. The opposite happens in the private areas, in this case the bedrooms, which are located towards main principal volume generating closed planes of bricks with controlled openings. As a final result, we generated a balanced composition between the open and the closed, the public and the private.
