The Ge Garden is located in the Unicorn Park in the southern part of the Yungu area of Hangzhou and serves as the headquarters of the listed company, Ge Tui Interactive (Ge Tui). The project covers a total construction area of 87,000 square meters. It collaborates with independent intelligent big data service providers to achieve a win-win situation. The architectural design is inspired by the company's logo, "the whale." Three buildings, light and dynamic, resemble giant whales leaping over the sea surface.

"2-1=3"

If the project site is considered as 2 and the building as 1, then the external space would be 2-1=1. The design philosophy of Ge Garden is to break this traditional equation of site and architecture. Based on the corporate culture and spirit of Merit Interactive, the architect proposed the design concept of "the whale leaping out of the sea." On the east, northwest, and southwest sides of the site, three towers sit atop an oceanic podium. This podium connects three relatively independent blocks, forming a large continuous indoor space that provides workspaces for teams of various sizes. The podium roof offers continuous and multiple areas for social entertainment, sports, and other leisure activities.

Leaping Whale

The architect strives for simplicity in the design of the building's form. The towers are slightly rotated and changed in plan to visually reduce the sense of oppression from the building mass. Each tower echoes the theme of being higher on one side and lower on the other, enhancing the connection between architectural units and enriching the variation of the skyline. The base of the towers above the podium rises to provide a variety of outdoor activities and landscape spaces, adding multiple perspectives to the space. The architectural innovation of the diagonal facade sparkles under different lighting conditions, partially rising to provide various outdoor activities and landscape spaces, while creating the visual effect of a whale about to leap into flight.

巨鲸跃出

建筑师力求建筑形式的设计简单。塔楼在平面上略微转动和改变，以在视觉上减少建筑体量的压迫感。每座塔楼都呼应左高右低，增强了建筑单元之间的联系，丰富了建筑天际线的变化。裙楼上方的塔基部分上升，提供了各种户外活动和景观空间，同时为空间增添了多种视野深度。建筑创新的对角立面在不同光照条件下呈现出闪闪发光的效果，部分上升提供了多种户外活动和景观空间，同时营造出巨鲸即将跳跃起飞的视觉效果。
