People who experienced the war reflected on their own existence and produced a dystopian philosophy; while in the era of peace, we use the developed information exchange platform to examine others more often. In front of the external evaluations that swarm us, everyone has his own answer as to whether to accept assimilation or to pretend to welcome them, or to stick to his own heart without wavering.
When the rebellious owner meets the "mountain city" Chongqing, it is destined to be an unusual encounter. Chongqing, with its geographical advantage and attention to public art, has become a popular online city with traditional history and humanities, but also loved by young people; and as a fashion pioneer jewelry brand that creates touching and expresses attitude through design, the unique style of ONESWEAR coincides with Chongqing IFC's own idea of promoting art and cultural experience. The designer has created a new and unique experience space for the brand, which has also become a window to express its independent spirit.
Space Theme: Follow the Heart
In the age of Internet, the richness and variety of information floods the heart of every modern person, and some people go with the flow, while others ask themselves. To follow the heart is not just a simple slogan. More than looking at others, facing one's true inner world and understanding one's own thirst can reflect the pursuit of independent spirit.
The installation is based on the theme of a beating heart, located in the center of the store in the most prominent position, gathering light and sight, a strong sense of presence reminds people of the importance of examining themselves. Instead of deliberately imitating the shape of a real heart, the designers have artistically manipulated it, applying the theory of very small curved surfaces to the installation.
The installation as a whole is 3D printed in fiberglass, using aluminum foil paper to create a pleated texture on the surface, both as an imaginative expression of the heart's fibers and to create a fashionable and pioneering metallic texture, creating an artistic shape while embodying a rational and restrained aesthetic.
The left and right atria are actually separated from each other, yet morphologically dependent on each other, leaving a one-person wide passage in between, allowing people to enter their inner world. The sound-making device is placed inside, and the sound of heartbeat is heard in a relatively closed and independent space, meaning dialogue and communication with oneself.
The TV screen outside the device can see the scene inside the heart in real time, while the inside can also communicate with the outside through the irregular holes on the surface of the device, increasing the interactivity and fun of the inside and outside.
In addition, large and small "blood vessels" extend outward from the heart, and the mouths of the pipes are embedded with various flat mirrors, concave lenses, and convex lenses, so that visitors can see different versions of themselves from all angles inside and outside the installation, allowing people to continuously discover their inner selves in a vivid and interesting way.
The project site is 8.85 meters wide and 9.75 meters deep; the floor height is 4 meters, and the plan shape is relatively regular.
The design takes advantage of the original regular site to create a complete and unified free experience space. The wall shape of rammed earth paint is like a flowing ribbon surrounding the whole space, and the wall that should be vertically intersected is chamfered to take advantage of the soft and flowing effect of the curve itself, giving people a soft and dynamic feeling, with the rough texture of rammed earth paint, allowing people to seek unity in ruggedness and softness, restraint and nature. The stainless steel wrapping on the side of the wall reflects the exquisite sense of the jewelry store and the pursuit of quality details.
Functionally, around this characteristic wall, reception tables, showcases, window displays, warehouses and other functions are placed. The entrance wall and the window display cabinets are nested and articulated with each other, as if they were a dazzling jewel set in the mall. The warehouse is also hidden in the wall, and its separate volume forms a beautifully proportioned composition with the flowing rammed earth wall.
