BuckleyGrayYeoman have been appointed by Hammerson and Ballymore to work on 750,000 sqft of office space at The Goodsyard in Bishopsgate across 3 plots, all with a mixture of co-worker, SME and cool-corporate space. Plots A and B sit on a prominent corner of Bethnal Green Road and Shoreditch High Street, with the London Overground viaduct and station intersecting the plots. The proposed architectural language employs a simple, considered material palette to provide a ‘refined industrial’ building image. Plot K sits at the southwest corner of the site and spans a mainline railway cutting. The base will be predominantly brickwork to match the existing, the upper floors are proposed to appear far lighter – a ‘crittal box’, drawing on the warehouse buildings found locally.
