Kennedy Health System Phase 1 Campus Revitalization

Kennedy University Hospital commissioned EwingCole for the first phase of a ten year master plan that would revitalize the entire Cherry Hill Campus. Phase 1 consists of the construction of an atrium lobby, five story medical office building (MOB), seven story parking garage, and significant landscaping. The MOB will provide both outpatient referrals to KHS and rentable space which will supply income to fund the remaining expansion of the master plan. The Parking Garage will allow for the development of landscaping throughout the site which otherwise would be hardscape parking.

From the Designer:

"The topography of the landscape and flow of traffic in and through the monumental entrance traffic circle dictate the fluid nature of the lobby footprint and its internal floor plates. An open, airy glazed atrium allows a new level of vibrancy and occupant activity to be on display in what has traditionally been a dormant dark campus. The materiality of the lobby is carried onto the MOB and parking garage at decreasing levels of detail but similar coloration and texture."
