Located in Sylva, North Carolina, the Jackson County Courthouse and Library serves as the local justice center. in 2007, The Jackson County Courthouse added a public library to its facility. New renovations were needed to incorporate new interiors into the existing building. One of these interior elements is terrazzo. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed an off-white terrazzo floor throughout the facility, which provides an elegant space that is both durable and easy to maintain over time. Today government centers have turned to terrazzo for these particular features. Other features include the installation of precast terrazzo tread and riser combo staircases at the entrance of the building and connecting the lobby to the second floor of the library.
