The circle, a universal symbol of unity, transcends borders, cultures and languages. It appears again and again in religious rituals and representations, from the halo around sacred figures to the host offered during Christian Communion. It also represents a cycle, a journey without end symbolizing the faith of the pilgrims. The circular wall of white concrete was built respecting the irregularity of the terrain. It offers pilgrims a place of reflection and peace before proceeding to their final destination in the sanctuary of the Virgin of Talpa.
