As part of the Coral Gables Museum exhibit “Palletcraft”, the E.P. frame was designed to reveal the various phases of dismantling and finishing treatment of pallets. Further along the book a more detailed breakdown of this sequence will be available but notice the raw quality of the pallet expressed by the outer members and the treated version of the pallet wood displayed by the inner members of the frame. The nails and marks left behind from the dismantling process of pallets are helpful in telling more about where the material’s origin and the sequence of treatments it endures.
