Spaces Makati

Spaces Makati is strategically located at the heart of the bustling business district of Manila, Philippines, only a few minutes away from PNR Pasay Road Train station. It promises to be an ideal co-working space for aspiring entrepreneurs in this vibrant, vivacious city. Interestingly, Spaces Makati is the country’s very first co-working space that occupies the entire building. This gives Spaces Makati an edge over others as the first floor makes it visible and easily accessible.
Spaces Makati embraces a contemporary style, a signature trait of Spaces projects. Nevertheless, it does not lack its charms. One challenge that our architects faced was the low ceiling. However, this unique characteristic of the building turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Instead of hiding the pipes, we decided to leave these functional aspects in plain sight. These pipe works that run the length of the ceiling do not only give the place an industrial feel but also add depth and texture to the space. To make the pipes look chic, we pair them with polished concrete floor of the same color. The finishing touches breathe new life into this industrial office. For example, the beautiful white and sapphire ceramic tiles at the business café corner brighten up the place. Meanwhile, the consistent use of natural oak in armchairs, bookshelves, tables and even walls helps achieve a sense of harmony. In addition, natural wood is a lovely material as it adds warmth and a stroke of natural grace to the space, making Spaces Makati a comfortable environment to work in. Bookshelves are such versatile furniture. Besides helping us store, they also add a visual appeal to the space through the display of decorative items. A vase of fresh flowers, a stack of colorful books, a scented candle – you name it. Meanwhile, carpets from Kvadrat bring about a sense of comfort and complete the picture by adding colorful touches that accent the cool palette of the room. We also didn’t forget to add some plants to rejuvenate the space and help its inhabitants stay calm in midst of busy workloads.
