Luxury apartments with a large central landscaped
courtyard. The central space is the core to the development and required a multiplicity of design considerations to take into account the view from the building entrance foyer; a place for leisure and relaxing and to provide a garden to be viewed from the above surrounding apartments.
The design uses the space as a ‘picture frame’ with
landscape elements, such as entrance pool, contrasting paving bands, curved seat walls, and textural planting beds to form an abstract composition. Viewed from the entrance foyer, the garden provides an elegant backdrop.
A lush green wall encloses the space and provides a setting for a bold sculpture, which at night is illuminated to express an alluring silhouette. In the foreground, an infinity pool with a fine sheet of overflowing water and inlay of spectacular translucent yellow ceramic tiles creates a vibrant glow at night and during the day a glistening spectacle.
