    URBAN EDUCATION

    By Lucas Reames

Our project this quarter is an urban elementary school in L.A. that consists of 32 classrooms, admin, multi-purpose, gym, cafeteria, and library. I changed the multi-purpose room into a performance hall, because in reality, that's what they are used (plays, graduation, etc). It can also be used by the city during off-school hours. The main idea driving my current design concentrates on a space that accommodates the need for focused learning as well as group/interactive learning. I'm revising my concept statement and will have that up soon. Here is an aerial for the meantime.
